Our "new" mayor Steve Skadron came in to our classroom today to teach us about our community and his role in it. The students asked him questions and shared their thoughts about the community. Our favorite question was, "When we're done...can I hug you?" The Mayor read us the story A is for Aspen, one of our favorites. How lucky are we?
Have you ever wanted to be in a rock band? Teddy is here to tell you all about them!
After learning all about action verbs, we learned a new song about action verbs. Then, naturally, we decided to act out our action verbs through dance. Check out our dance moves here. Afterwards, we brainstormed some action words that described our movements. See our words below.
Action Verbs: dancing, jumping, spinning, rocking, moving, laughing, smiling, twirling
For the next five weeks we will be reading about how people, animals and the world grow and change. Check your Friday Folder for information about our timeline project or click here. Students will be creating a timeline of their life at home and presenting it at school. Read about this fun project carefully and let me know if you have any questions. Below you will find a gallery of ideas for Timeline creating! Have fun!!! Projects Due Jan. 6th.
