This week we worked on finding multiples ways to make a number. In groups, students worked together to find as many was as they possibly could. Watch them hard at work.
Our second writer's celebration was another success. The kids worked very hard on their teaching stories. We hope you learned a lot from these fabulous writers. Stay tuned for the next one! You won't believe what we can do!
What a fun day we had on Friday. Denise, fourth grade teacher at AES, came and visited our classroom with her pet hedgehog. First she read the story Hedgie's Surprise, by Jan Brett. Then she had her own surprise in her pocket of her shirt.....Bentley! We just had the best time with her. The kids got to touch the Hedgehog. They were pretty impressed the Hedgehog was her own personal pet. We learned that Hedgehogs are nocturnal and walk miles and miles every night! We even got in our PJ's to make the Hedgehog feel more at home (sleeping during the day!)What a great experience! Thank you Denise :)
This week we learned all about gardens and how they grow and change. here are some of our growing and changing gardens.Using connecting cubes to build and subtract and solving subtraction problems around the room. We're getting pretty quick!!!!
