Yesterday we learned all about the Frog LIfe Cycle. Frog life cycle is unique because they go through a metamorphosis! We made some pretty awesome hats to help us remember!
We made spaghetti/marshmallow buildings! We went to the Aux gym and broke up into teams of 3. Each team had 20 spaghetti noodles, one large marshmallow and tape. The teams had 15 minutes to build the highest tower they could that supported a marshmallow a the top. The winning team----19 inches! Impressive. Here are some photos of our brains in action.
What better way to celebrate earth day than recycled art and dirt pudding! We made dirt pudding with puddin, oreos, whipped cream- and of course, gummy worms! Miss. Kelly probably should have given out the treat at the END of the day, rather than during morning snack, but live and learn! We ended the day with some recycled art sculptures. They turned out great! Here are some pics from the fun day. The fun didn't stop there- because later that day, we asked a girl to Prom!!! Really! We did. Teagan's brother needed a little moral support with the big question. Here are some pics of us helping him out- roses and all!
We've been learning all about Simple Machines. These small machines help build much more complex machines and they are too cool! Did you know that a catapult is a form of lever? We made catapults with spoons and marshmallows! The best part, shooting them out on the playground.
This week we're learning all about Alexander Graham Bell and his invention of the telephone. Here are some fun resources for our week!
![]() We had so much fun at our Review Party today! Thank you for taking the time to come read all our reviews. For this unit, we wrote movie, book, restaurant and game reviews! We learned how to give helpful tips, ratings and recommendations. We also were really good at "talking back" (obviously.) That means we tell you that some people may think another book, restaurant or movie is better than ours, but we disagree. We learned that ratings don'ta always have to be good. You can also convince someone that something is really bad...BUT we just love so many things, so that was hard to do! Have a great weekend and we'll see you in our fun filled classroom again soon! What a fun day it was! Filled with sunshine, snow and good company! Thanks to all the parents that helped make it happen. We couldn't have done it without you...literally! Thanks for helping us make fun memories!
